.jpg) Since 1990, the Mission and Outreach Committee has supported a Christmas Project for our church entitled the Peace Tree. The goal of the Peace Tree is to provide Christmas gifts to three very worthy programmes that are supported by the Presbyterian Church of Canada. The three organizations are:
- Fernie House: a home for children
- Armagh: a home for women and children escaping violence
- Evangel Hall: a downtown centre which provides assistance to the socially disadvantaged.
In addition, some gifts are reserved for the three or four people who are regular, long-time users of the Trinity Food Cupboard. The outpouring of generous gifts that the community of Trinity Church donates to this cause is overwhelming.
