Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Gordon attended Victoria College, 1957-60 and Knox College, 1960-63. Ordained to the ministry of the Word and Sacraments of the Presbyterian Church in Canada in May 1963, he served pastorates in Saskatchewan, Ontario and Alberta.
Among his pastorates was Trinity (1988-1995). Upon retiring in September 1999, Gordon and Elizabeth appreciated being welcomed back as worshippers at Trinity. In this time, Gordon served as a pastoral visitor for approximately two years. During these years of retirement he has not only served at Trinity but at St. Timothy's, Ajax, Clarkson Road, Mississauga, and Westminster, Scarborough as interim-minister. In 2006, Trinity, with Presbytery of East Toronto's permission, made him Minister-Emeritus. Gordon hosts a Senior Men's lunch each month at Trinity. He enjoys skating, golfing, bridge, reading and keeping up with Canadian politics and sports. Gordon and Elizabeth give thanks to God for the blessings He has bestowed through our associations with Trinity York Mills.
