At one of our past meetings, we shared books we have found to be spiritually meaningful with one another. As requested by the group, we are posting the recommendations for anyone interested. Alistair Cunningham: Bringing Spirituality Into Yourk Healing Journey (Cunningham is a doctor at Princess Margaret Hospital and a Cancer survivor) Margaret Silf: The Inner Compass (Silf is a British lay writer who often leads retreats. Many of her books were available at the Convent of St. John where we had our congregational retreat). Anne Lamont: Finding Grace Eventually (Described as irreverent, funny and meaningful.) William Paul Young: The Shack (A popular novel which describes the relationships between father/son/holy spirit in a unique way) Desmond Tutu: God Has a Dream (Reflections on reconciliation and the importance of community in God's World) Gangaji: The Diamond in Your Pocket (Describes how to look for what you need inside yourself rather than outside) Joyce Rupp: Open the Door (Rupp discusses the things that are keeping you from falling in love with your life) Joyce Meyer: The Battle of the Mind (Meyer describes various things that can distract our mind from prayer)
